Stanfield Marsh Wildlife and Waterfowl Preserve reviews
We take a walk out on the boardwalk every time we visit BBL. This time, the marsh was very low on water. We've been up here late in the year (but before snowfall), and have never seen it this low... more »
This is a nice place to walk and see birds. We saw some herons and pelicans while walking along the boardwalk. A nice easy hike. more »
Beautiful Bridge or raised walkway over the Marsh and grass lands. Great just to walk or even better to observe the birds and wild life. This is great exercise and a great learning opportunity for... more »
This was a nice little place to come and take a walk my kids enjoyed it as well. It was within walking distance of our cottage. Parking was easy to find right on the corner. After walking through the whole marsh we were able to get in our car and go over to the lake with my kids also enjoyed.
Beautiful natural water fowl preserve nestled in Big Bear Mountain. There is a nice redwood walking bridge, trail, and park benches for your convenience. Very peaceful location with breathe taking views.
A serene and bucolic trail along and over a protected marsh. You will see herons and other birds, ducks, turtles, fish.... Dogs are allowed (on a leash). The trail is made up of packed dirt and a boardwalk type of bridge called The Kissing Bridge. There are two parking areas at the start of the trail and it’s right alongside Big Bear Blvd so you can’t miss it.
Always a great walking/picnic spot. Filling up bit by bit. Can't wait to see it at its previous beauty. Hopefully just one more winter😁
If you are into bird watching or just want a peaceful walk in the morning/evening time this place is for you! There are nice boardwalks to walk on and get great views of the nature and surrounding wildlife. We enjoyed our time here and were able to see many different types of birds as we walked.
