  • The lovely ladies in the visitors center were so sweet. I had lost my wallet and was very emotional when my 4 year old and i ealked in to check if someone turned it in. Yes someone did! And the ladies were so caring while i pulled myself together.
  • We expect visitor centers to be helpful and friendly, we were not disappointed. It was a cozy, inviting environment. The employees genuinely wanted to help and chat. They gave great information and we placed our pin on the world map. (They start over with a clean map at the beginning of year). This place also doubles as the chamber of commerce which is convenient.
  • This place was able to give us info on dog-friendly restaurants, hiking trails & camping. They had a big parking lot & public restrooms, too. The ladies were very friendly.
  • The Big Bear Visitors Center and Chamber of Commerce are located in the same building. Public restrooms on the outer side of building and free 24 hour parking in this nice lot. (Part of the Village area)This location also used, for outdoor events such as the chile cook off, and the recent 50K fishing tournament awards ceremony.
  • A must visit. The staff there went well beyond the call of duty.We asked if they knew of any places that had kayaks available to rent and that could fit three people. A staff there named a place and even called them for us to confirm whether they had one available for to us to rent. Also, the staff mentioned that an event that was going to happened the next day and if we brought a coupon, it would be free to enter. The staff pointed out that the coupon was in a newspaper and instead of just handing the newspaper to us, the staff actually cut them out for us. The friendly and knowledgeable staff here definitely made our trip a much more pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend that you make the visitor center your first stop to not just find out information but to get coupons to various attractions at Big Bear.
