Greystone Mansion and Park, Beverly Hills
(4.4/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Experience a piece of Hollywood history at Greystone Mansion and Park. After a turbulent past of interchanging ownership following the murder/suicide of original owner Ned Doheny in 1929, Beverly Hills eventually ended up purchasing the estate in 1965, later converting it into a public park. Entrance into the mansion is usually closed off, but you can stroll around the park for free and admire the beautifully arranged gardens and great views of the city. If the iconic Hollywood grounds look familiar, it's probably because they've been the centerpiece of many movies and TV shows. Just keep in mind that smoking, picnicking, sports, pets, and loud music are prohibited in the area. • The Greystone Mansion has been the backdrop for a number of movies (you'll see the list on an announcement board on the edge of the parking lot). It's a stunning mansion and grounds, especially on a c...  more »
  • A nice place to spend some time, see the grounds and to see some nice views of the city. It is also very close and convenient.
  • Very big and beautiful location, yielding several possibilities of good pictures, so much of the site, when in Los Angeles. The mansion sits on a high place, which makes it a privileged view of the city. Unfortunately it was not possible to enter the buildings, but we enjoyed the gardens, and there's no cost of entry.
