Greystone Mansion and Park, Beverly Hills
Categories: Historic Sites, Nature & Parks, Tourist Spots
Experience a piece of Hollywood history at Greystone Mansion and Park. After a turbulent past of interchanging ownership following the murder/suicide of original owner Ned Doheny in 1929, Beverly Hills eventually ended up purchasing the estate in 1965, later converting it into a public park. Entrance into the mansion is usually closed off, but you can stroll around the park for free and admire the beautifully arranged gardens and great views of the city. If the iconic Hollywood grounds look familiar, it's probably because they've been the centerpiece of many movies and TV shows. Just keep in mind that smoking, picnicking, sports, pets, and loud music are prohibited in the area.
