Greystone Mansion, Beverly Hills

Experience a piece of Hollywood history at Greystone Mansion. After a turbulent past of interchanging ownership following the murder/suicide of original owner Ned Doheny in 1929, Beverly Hills eventually ended up purchasing the estate in 1965, later converting it into a public park. Entrance into the mansion is usually closed off, but you can stroll around the park for free and admire the beautifully arranged gardens and great views of the city. If the iconic Hollywood grounds look familiar, it's probably because they've been the centerpiece of many movies and TV shows. Just keep in mind that smoking, picnicking, sports, pets, and loud music are prohibited in the area. • At 04.01.2018 photography is prohibited throughout the estate, both amateur and professional. As kindly remind posters at the entrance to its territory. Beautiful nature, a chic area, a lot of visitors. Peace and tranquility we hadn't noticed. Oh and shifty's Beverly Hills police, gonjajushhie "photographers". In General, an idyllic place)). Walk around the territory, we managed to take photos of everything you need too. But it all came out running and throwing, sneaking from servants of the law, which belongs to Beverly Castle. Who wants to take photos, please come for two weeks to write a petition to the administration of Beverly (with poster) for permission to pofotkat dish)).

  • Love this little park. It's free, free parking, well cared for and actually really rather nice with great views of LA. Also with its history a little eerie! Go there for a little time out.  more »
  • Greystone Park is nestled in the midst of a beautiful Beverly Hills residential neighborhood, just off the famed Sunset Strip. The formal gardens are lovely even in winter. I imagine that in spring th...  more »

  • Amazing views and landscape. Free public Access to roam the grounds but not the actually mansion. I wish the house was open to the public. If you want to view the home you have to book in advance as a group and Im not sure if there is a cost for that. They do have events here from time to time but not sure how you would be able to look up those events. I would've rated higher if we had access to roam the actual mansion.
  • I enjoyed the elaborate gardens and a very fancy home to peek into. There were no crowds and easy to stroll through. The mansion was closed this day but there are tours.
  • I attend the Dinner with the Mayor of Beverly Hills every year held at the Greystone Mansion. The venue is amazing. The estate was gifted to the City of Beverly Hills many years ago as the owner could not keep up with the staffing costs needed in order to maintain the estates upkeep. Definitely the right venue for an upscale joyous occasion.
  • Great afternoon here. Beautiful house and views of LA! This is old school cool Beverly Hills!
  • A mansion worth seeing. To see how the upper 1% lived in days past. The drive up to the mansion isn't bad either. Beautiful homes line the streets surrounding the mansion. How the current upper 1% live. Leave yourself some time (2-4 hours) to view the Greystones gardens and the surrounding neighborhood.
