  • Very good museum about Woodstock and the 60’s; well worth spending several hours there, although we came on a relatively quiet day.  more »
  • We enjoyed this museum. Rather than present an endless number of artifacts, this museum tried to tell the story of the 60’s (going actually all the way back to WWII) and explain how the social issues....  more »
  • The visit was truly outstanding! The museum displays really do capture the late 60’s culture and controversies! It also reflects the music, fashion and the great music of the time. As I’ve said...  more »
  • Great great place for acquiring Woodstock memorabilia if you are into such things as I am. However, be prepared to spend some bank to get such stuff. Personally? If I LOVE it, I'll get it , price is secondary. The museum is cool however, for the reasonable fee to enter, be prepared to spend an hour taking in the iconic photos, the film clips, the bus (a must) and the souvenir shop at the museum end ( though you can hit up the shop w/o the museum.).A positive experience all around, couple it w/ a show...golden.
  • Although I was only 14 when Woodstock was around in 1969, you could really feel as if you were there when walking through the museum. It was not just about Woodstock, it was about the late 50's and 60's and what culture was like leading up to the great 3 day concert. It is well worth the drive for a lovely afternoon in the "holy land" in the Catskill Mountains.
  • Great Place be to visit!! Take part in the tour its wonderful! First stop is the monument right next to the field Woodstock was held in! Then right up the road to the museum. Museum was so interesting. There's a little cafe there very reasonably priced and generous food portions and outdoor seating to eat. There's a Fabulous gift shop but everything is outrageously priced which ruined it so we went to Tinker Street to get the same things at half the price.
  • There's something cathartic about visiting the site of Woodstock '69. Whether you were there, alive at the time or young enough to only hear the stories, it's an experience for anybody who loves music. The museum was full of great history and information about the festival, the patrons, organizers and world events that culminated into what was Woodstock.
  • Doesn't matter what concert you go to here you won't find a bad seat or grassy spot that you do not just love... Remember to not bring your own chairs for safety reasons and any bags that come into the venue must be clear... They have a great website that explains it all. the security is good the lighting after a late show is great, the parking lots empty efficiently.. the museum is gorgeous, the views of the surrounding area are lovey.
