  • Beautiful view of the Bay. You can see the Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge, and SF from the park. I go there all the time. Super dog friendly too!
  • Such a great park on the Bay here in Berkeley. Kite festivals are held here although I've never attended I'm sure they look amazing. Lots of benches to randomly stop for a break or just enjoy the views. At one point of the trail you are able to see 3 beautiful Bay Area bridges at the same time. Peaceful and friendly patrons for the most part. Still, it's never safe to trail alone so be aware of your surroundings :) Dogs are allowed in certain areas as long as they stay on the leash because there's wildlife that should not be disturbed. SOME people like to ignore that rule and I think it disrupts not only the wildlife but the kids too. Take your dogs to the dog park instead of chasing after it while it's trying to catch a giant squirrel. Leave the "bunny"-squirrels alone!
  • Great walking area. Often windy, in the best possible way, blowing in over the beautiful sweep of bay from whose other side the Golden Gate Bridge rises. Kite flyers, dog walkers, and a representative mix of Berkeley types. There's a comfortable, varied two-mile loop walk possible, with little altitude gain and good views, on an asphalt path.
  • Make sure to wear a wind breaker if you're coming in the afternoon, this little gem on the edge of Berkeley is a perfect place to fly a kite, walk your dog, get those steps in, and lounge in the afternoon sun. I wouldn't recommend it if you're afraid of drones, lots of folks out at different time of day playing with their drones and can be an annoying sound if you're near them. But thankfully, the drone club keep to a small portion of the park. The rest of the park is a feast for the eyes and soul.
  • Wonderful scenes. Kite event in weekends. Not much of places to set on beside grass. However, it's discouraging when see some dogs owners not to pick up after their dogs.
