  • It is very well organized, the plants are amazing. There is a never-ending menagerie of bugs and animals that will entertain both you and old. It is way, way bigger than it looks. Be prepared for a long hike. If bringing kids maybe make it a 2 day thing.
  • Absolutely wonderful place to come and look around and explore. Students come in for free, so definitely take the advantage and come here at least once. The plants are stunning, and it's a great way to get out of Berkeley while still staying in Berkeley.
  • Great place. Free for UCB students and staff. Lots to look at and great views. Not the most wheelchair/stroller accessible though. Has tables for picnics. Limited cellular reception.
  • It is a wonderful place, though give yourself lots of time. The sheer number of species requires some thoughtful planning to see the collections. My favorite: herb garden. Though the Chinese medicinal gardens is a close second.
  • An amazing, diverse botanical garden on the Berkeley Campus. Well worth a visit for any plant lover. Their arid greenhouse collection is amazing.
