  • Is the place to go but unfortunately not worth. Went to kill time. Is not does not say that I don't think is good to relax, rare plants, and to explore the feeling.

  • A must see for anyone who loves plants, trees and all things botanical. An amazing way to spend your day. All the plants have descriptions. They even have some for sale. I want to visit again. If I lived in the area it would be a go- to hangout.
  • The UC Berkeley Botanical Garden is a treasure in the Berkeley hills. They have an incredible array of plants from all over the world planted outdoors as well as in an arid house, a tropical house, and an orchid/fern/carnivorous plant house. There's also a large redwood grove across Centennial drive. Admission is reasonable, and if you're in the mood, you can easily spend the whole day wandering the garden. The arid house is a particular favorite of mine, as is the pond, where you can see salamanders mating in the late winter. It's also got great views and can be hiked to if you're feeling vigorous.
  • Beautiful and huge diversity of plants. Free for students.
  • Nestled in the hills above the UC Berkeley campus, the Botanical Garden is a pleasant place for a quiet stroll, or for a more in-depth survey of the approximately gazillion plants displayed there. There are separate sections for Asia, Australia, California, Eastern North America, the Mediterranean, Mexico/Central America, New World Desert, South America, and South Africa. In addition you'll find sections displaying medicinal herbs, food crops from all over the world, and adjacent to the parking lot, a peaceful grove of California redwoods. Wonderful destination for an hour or an entire day.
  • Incredible diversity of plants from around the world.
