  • Our hotel suggested we see this museum and it was a great recommendation. The extensive displays are so carefully organized and printed info in the display cases was clear and easy to read. I thought ...  more »
  • Very interesting museum near the Wal-Mart Museum. Worth a stop and am sure you will enjoy it. Great for families; free to explore.
  • Made this a first stop of the morning before heading to Crystal Bridges. We were not disappointed! From before you even walk through the front door you're in for a treat. You will find lots to interes...  more »

  • Beautiful museum and gift shop. So much information! The staff is helpful and attentive. The exhibit changes frequently and is a walk through history. Great for young and old alike.
  • Fantastic place. They have an enormous collect on display and drawer after drawer of artifacts just like the museum in DC. Gift shop is fantastic too as are the employees. Even an area to search for arrow heads which you can keep. Great for adults and kids.
  • If you are interested in American Native history, this is a must see museum. Many fine artifacts and historical information about Native American and other cultures. Don't miss this on your trip to Northwest Arkansas. It's free and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
  • Did not know what a fine artifact collection was housed here. The finest I have seen-and that includes the Field Museum in Chicago. Saw a double bitted chipped stone axe nearly identical to one of my personal finds that had previously been (mis)identified as a "hide scraper" !! Saw many stone tools and fine examples of pottery from our own Pike County Arkansas. THOROUGHLY enjoyed our (too short) time here. Could have easily spent all day. Mark, the curator, was very friendly and informative. The lady that directed us to him (sorry-we did not get her name) was also very personable and helpful. GB Glenwood, Ar.
  • Quite a hidden gem and admission is free! A definite "must see" with an extensive artifact collection. I enjoyed using the handheld handset for the self guided tour and learning how many of the items are tied to Arkansas.
