  • We love visiting Kiona when we are in the Red Mountain area. The tasting experience is exceptional, not just for the wine, but for the beautiful vineyard views, great customer service and ease of ordering. We have never been disappointed. We are looking forward to visiting Kiona again this summer with several friends to try the horseback tour of area wineries. Beautiful spot and unforgettable, excellent wines!
  • I was recently at Kiona as a part of a wine tour. Unfortunately, their staff was incredibly rude. An (odd) employee prematurely "cut off" a guest despite no signs of intoxication. What's worse is they took negative action towards a long time member simply for being part of the group. Let me add that this was a older group of responsible adults. This is really too bad as I have no intention returning, and I will encourage others to avoid it as well. Fortunately, there many wonderful vineyards in the Red and Rattlesnake Mountains. I suggest, Anelare and Goose Ridge. They're wine is delicious and their customer service outstanding.
  • Kiona, as any knowledgeable Washington/NW wine fans knows quite well, is one of the best wineries in either state and has been owned and operated with honesty and distinction by the Williams Family since its inception. Their wines range from very good to spectacular. But, this past Spring Barrel Saturday, I saw something at the winery that gave me a whole new level of respect for Kiona. One of the hardest things for any winery to do it to handle drunk guests. I watched a group of about a dozen arrive and stumble across the parking lot, talking far too loudly, giggilng like hyenas, and clearly over-served. Kiona is like any other winery: they depend on the good will of customers for their very livelihood. These people were bothering everybody around them, including my wife and me. They were obnoxious, but it's the same dynamic as stupid people not knowing that they're stupid: drunk people in groups rarely realize that they're acting like fools. The Kiona staff took them aside and quietly but firmly told them that they were cut off - as they damned well should have been. They were indignant, of course, and muttered threats and huffed off, pissed. I tasted the Kiona wines and they were splendid, as always. But seeing an example of the Williams family's sense of responsibility and willingness to put - whether these people knew it or not - that party's safety ahead of their winery's interests was truly uplifting. And the rest of Kiona's non-hammered customers had a far nicer time as a result. BRAVO to Kiona Vineyards for making great wines and showing great common sense.
  • This was my mother in law and I first time going out and wine tasting! This was our 1st stop we made and so happy we did! A lady (forgot her name) was so helpful at explaining the different wines and grapes that went into them! We loves 2 of the white sweet wines you had and had to come back before close to get another bottle to take back home with us! It was truly an amazing experience to come here and try all the wines and great views too!
  • Friendly staff, not trying to impress; the award winning wine speaks for itself! Great wine to enjoy on the patio overlooking Red Mountain.
