Anyone who has traveled I-10 from El Paso to the west has seen the billboards, even if you're not going anywhere near Arizona. "What is The Thing?" accompanies you all the way there. I finally got to ... read more »
It is obvious what it is supposed to be when you see it but I am unsure if it is real. It is not a matter of how it looks but more so about laws and so forth. For only a buck a person it is not over p... read more »
Even before my time, road trips were epic. You know that saying; "It's not the destination, it's the journey"? That's what your dad would tell you as he locked eyes with you in the rear view mirror, h... read more »
Very awesome outlet shop connected to a DQ. The signs along the road really do their job at advertising to make you curious as to what the thing is. I wont spoil the surprise...but for only $1 the outdoor museum leading up to the big mystery is kinda entertaining. They have some interesting relics that some might find it worth seeing. I do not think it will be fun for kids, but adults might find it neat albeit most will find it pretty boring. Cannot say I was disappointed seeing "The Thing" but, it's not at all what I thought it might be. But, it is a nice and convenient stop...good for getting gas, picking up a souvenir, and maybe getting some ice cream while you are at it.
So cool! Worth the stop! What a fun curiosity!! Only a dollar or two to see the thing! Huge eclectic gift shop! And friendly employees! Very memorable!
Neat place. They have nice jewelry/fashion jewelry and cute home goods. The DQ is always busy too.
Friendly staff, very unique gift shop, restroom is clean and baby friendly. The Thing attraction is very interesting. This road trip momma loves it!
Um, it was weird. It was lots of "things" actually. But just so weird. But our kids got all hyped from all the signs and so did we. And the kids LOVED it and still talk about it and want to go back. The gift shop was a bit overwhelming. The dairy Queen was gross.
