  • And I've seen dozens of them all over the state. This beauty is easy to get to from Bend if you don't mind driving a couple miles on gravel. Very popular spot (picnicking here as well as fall gazing),...  more »
  • Approached on a reasonable gravel road, Tumalo Falls is a spectacular waterfall which can be seen without a hike. A walk to the top of the falls is available. Very close to Bend for easy access.  more »

  • I highly recommend the hike in the winter; it's so beautiful when everything is white! The tall snow covered trees make you feel like you're amidst a winter wonderland. We did 4 miles in and 4 miles out; the hike was an easy walk as it had a slow rate of elevation gain. This was a very rewarding hike because the trail passes through so many beautiful waterfalls.
  • It was an easy hike for my 4 & 7 year old daughters who are not the most active kids. They had a blast playing by the stream and seeing all the sites along the well marked trails. It gets extremely busy so if you want to get good parking and avoid the crowds on the trail, going early in the day will be best.
  • Nice place to take the family for beautiful scenery. Can't go wrong.
  • Wonderful snow shoeing up to the falls. We went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded at all, but I bet the weekends might be a different story. Spectacular and gorgeous!
  • There is two different viewpoints that you can see Tumalo falls. There is trail that leads up the river, which has other falls.
