  • Unique, pretty and sometimes quirky gifts. Indie bookstore atmosphere. Excellent fudge shop inside. Bellingham must-see.
  • I love this place. I think of it as a mini Powells. It has a wide selection of books and gifts. Great local author section. I miss these kinds of bookstores. I could spend all day here! Nice ambiance ...  more »
  • Great spot to go to find a book and other knick-knacks. Great atmosphere and helpful staff. I know this is a book store, but it is a good place to visit, if you get a chance.

  • What can I say - Village Books is as good as it gets. A locally owned and managed bookstore is hard to find these days and Village Books is as good as you will find anywhere. The book selection is always great and the feel of the store is perfect with lots of light and air and tasteful design and decoration. They don't sell too many non-book items but they are connected to another store that sells plenty of gift items, etc. They have a small selection of used books downstairs and have author events frequently. The cafe upstairs has a great view of the bay and is a great place to get a coffee and a bite to eat and hang out.
  • Friendly ambiance with wide selection of materials and an in-store eatery. Like a smaller more local - community version of Powels.
  • Sweet local book shop in Bellingham. Felt like a local hangout. Only thing I wish there was more of is a non-fiction selection but otherwise really great.
  • Village Books sponsors events and supports the community in many ways. There are readings, book groups, support for writers and a press. The selection is good and the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. It's the best!
  • Great place to spend some time. I found my favorite cookbook here and Christmas gifts for family. Great store.
