This park really serves many purposes. You can just have a relaxing walk - especially along the wooden promenade which hangs right over the ocean - while enjoying the views. You can have a snack and a... read more »
Offers unobstructed views of the ocean; great place to watch the sunset with benches to sit on which were installed along the little boulevard that runs parallel to the ocean; has a couple of small beach areas; and access to several nearby walking trails, which includes Taylor Dock. There is a small playground, lots of grass to throw a blanket down for a picnic or just laying out, and a couple of tables. You can also get something to eat or drink at the coffee shop. Also, has two sets of restrooms located at either end of the park.
This is a very classy park. The over water boardwalk is great (but cold). We took our dogs. One pooped on the boardwalk (we picked it up). So... I would say its not the best walk for a dog, although its allowed. There's a cool kids playground. There's bathrooms at each end. There's a stage on the far northwest side... wonder if there's concerts. Overall, an amazing park.
This park is absolutely beautiful. The playground is great for kids. The Woods Coffeeshop is great and the view of the bay is gorgeous. I would recommend it anyday to anyone any time
Sunny family park with great views, and a short walk from beautiful Fairhaven neighborhood. Easy to get to via bike, transit or car. Little hard to find swimming access in the bay however. You pretty much have to go down to the dock on the southern end of the park.
Love this park! Long Beach, big grassy areas with trees, children's toys, paved trail that continues up to Bellingham or down to Fairhaven. The stairway on the North end is currently closed, so you'll have to fight for parking down on the South end. Hopefully they fix that soon!
