  • I love the fact that there is more than a mile of boardwalk that is ADA wheelchair certified for strollers or power chairs or wheelchairs. I also love all the clubs and activities that are free to mem...  more »
  • Nice trails, nice maps, nice people. Nice, nice, nice. We are not big birders but this was our best outing. It's a beautiful place.  more »
  • What a delightful resource so close to downtown. The visitor center itself is a beautiful facility with vaulted ceilings, a high quality gift shop, and friendly staff. Once you walk through the double...  more »
  • Fontanelle Forest is great. Lots of great hiking trails through the forests around the Missouri River. My kids loved going through the raptor rescue area and seeing all the hawks, falcons, and owls up close and personal. Nice variety of trails, too. If you want to go offroad, you can, or you can take the boardwalk trail all the way to a beautiful overview of the river.
  • Over 17 miles of trails! The 1 mile boardwalk trail is mostly covered. The new Raptor house area is a great way to see some Hawks, owls and other Raptors up close! There is also a kid play area off the boardwalk trail. Our kids had fun discovering that area.
  • We really like this place. So peaceful outside. We come after school (around 3:30) and it's always been really quiet. They have an indoor play around , few things to see indoors. Outside is where the falcon refugee is located. Then different paths outside with a playground type thing (a little house and tree fort type thing ) We enjoy the wooden path. It's a mile long.
  • We all love going to the 'forest'. I just discovered the yoga which is amazing. We did go the mudpies program but at $3 a day we don't get go anymore. Still lots of fun for kids of all ages!
  • Awesome raptor rehabilitation area and accessible hiking trails. Many other trails for the able-bodied to explore extensively. A great option for getting out to the woods without having to travel huge distances.
