  • Best damn airshow I have ever attended . . . and I have attended plenty! I attended the show both days (Saturday and Sunday) and never got bored. I did opt for the "Officer's Club" VIP tent which made...  more »

  • The two tour guides were amazing. One guy, a former engineer, gave me the facts while another lady, a former pilot, gave my son the child friendly tour that he would enjoy. It was very professional and it felt personal. The artifacts are real and the stories are amazing. This is a inexpensive yet wonderful way to spend a hour or so with the kids. Great for adults too!
  • This museum is small, but it has a big heart! Currently at about 29,000 sq feet, it will be moving to larger quarters, probably in 2018, of about 170,000 sq. ft. (don't hold me to those numbers, but I know they plan on moving their B52 indoors!) What I like about the museum is you can walk up and touch their aircraft, and the docents and volunteers are true aviation enthusiasts. Another great thing about them is their annual air show. 2017 will feature the Blue Angels in a 3 day air show extravaganza. My wife and I volunteered at the 2016 "Thunder over Michigan" airshow and it was awesome. The Yankee Air Museum also operates one of the few flying B-17 bombers and you can purchase a ride in that old beauty, as well as in their B-25, C-47 or Waco biplane. Check it out!
  • A very nice museum. It will be 5 stars when they move into their new location in the old B-24 Willow Run factory. I took a B-17 ride which was fabulous and well worth it. A very thrilling experience.
  • A great treasure in our area that needs to be supported! All of the volunteers are friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell they love helping out!
  • We spent a morning exploring the Yankee Air Museum and going to the gift shop. There is a lot of history shown here, about the old Bomber plant and many aircraft on static display, Also information about military history after WW2. There is interesting displays for the kids to enjoy too.
