Leather recliners are comfortable, food is great and so is the service. Have been there several times and always a positive experience!
The kids love to go to the Edge. The movies are great. You can't beat the great prices, comfy seats, and bistro seating, where you can have pizza and a beer. When we go to the theaters, we prefer the ... read more »
If you like the idea of beers, reclining seats, cheap (but quality) foods, reserve seating, and a sports bar right next to the theater, go here. Its no CineBistro, but the price tag will not destroy y... read more »
Great atmosphere for kids and teens. They also have a bar area for adults. Best laser tag arena in southwest Illinois. Food is decent. Usually kept pretty clean. Most of the staff are young but nice.
I'm a long time customer of The E.D.G.E in Belleville, IL. Over the years they've continued to expand and improve, and now they offer more to do than ever. They have a rather large arcade section (keep in mind they offer variety of entertainment, so they can not go to big on a single aspect), a nice movie theatre, they offer a bar (although due to age restrictions, I've never been there) and finally, laser tag. I'm going to focus on Laser tag because it's rather unique, and although more and more places now offer it, they pale in comparison to The Edge. For starters, The Edge has a massive Laser tag arena, the biggest I've ever been too. The layout of the arena is quite unique, besides having a cool theme, the arena itself is split into multiple sections. There is what feels like a maze made up of tons of corridors and turns, there is a forest section, a cave and my personal favorite, the castle. This arena supports big group games better than any other arena, due to its vastness and diversity. Now, most casual players should be sold at this point, if not, they offer way better deals and are much more reasonably price than any other arena, and the experience at this location is much better. Basically, you're getting more for less. Also, if you're a laser tag fanatic like myself, they offer deals where you can pay around $20 for unlimited laser tag for 5 hours or more, depending on the deal and day. Now, for those of you who have laser tagged before and you consider yourself more than just a casual player, this one should sell it for you. Assuming you already know the basic rules of laser tag (shoot people, and don't get shot; also no melees, seriously why would you hit some one), then this arena will go much further for you then others. First off, like previously stated, it's quite the dynamic arena, and it's huge. This means more room for more layers, and this is a popular place, typically bringing in good sized crowds assuming you go on a weekend. The more players, the better. More targets to shoot, must I elaborate? Moving forward, the packs/guns themselves are highly efficient, meaning they will fire as fast as you can pull a trigger, and if you shoot some one, you will hit them. See some one across the arena? No matter, these lasers mean business, you will hit them, assuming you have good aim and a steady hand. These packs are beyond proficient, so if you are playing to win, these pack/guns will compliment your competitive play nicely. Finally, Gems! What more could a competitive player ask for then power ups! If you are pushing the scrubs around, really kicking some serious butt, and you want to give yourself even more of an advantage, why not go invisible? That's right, they have invisibility, along with quite a few other power ups. I won't elaborate further on the Gems mainly because it's a perk you'll have to experience for yourself. To wrap things up, if you want to have fun, come here. If you want to Laser Tag, never go anywhere else but here. Trust me, even if it's not close by, it is definitely worth the drive. Family friendly, affordable, and it will give you a work out with how much you'll be moving around, while ascending and descending the arena. P.S. They hold Laser Tag Tournaments every now and then here.
Love the bistro and the fact that my husband and I can catch a movie and dinner at the same time. I do not, however, love that their website is ineffective and their staff is lackadaisical and apathetic at best. My husband ordered tickets online and thought for sure they were for that evening (his mistake) but they were for the next evening- the person who printed our tickets didn't catch it, and when we attempted to approach the theatre itself, we noticed a large group waiting to get in. Only after my husband inquired were we quite rudely told to wait because they hadn't started seating.. no one actually looked at our tickets. It wasn't until I quite loudly stated that our show time was in five minutes did anyone say anything. And even then, the offer to get us "pretty good seats" was said as a half hearted attempt to save their asses. Perhaps if their staff wasnt so busy chatting with one another, maybe customers could be seated and taken care of efficiently.
Laser tag arena, games & arcades, movie theater, bar & grill with all the football games on Sunday under one roof. Very cool place. The owners are very humble and a nice couple.
The EDGE is a great place to hangout. There are options for every age, whether adults that want to check out a movie in the Bistro lounge (such COMFY chairs) and have a drink in the bar, to teenagers that want to shoot each other at Laser Tag and play a ton of video games. It's so much fun that even "kids at heart" have fun shooting each other. I recommend for anyone that wants an afternoon or evening of fun for any age!
