  • As a kid we would vacation annually to visit family in Missouri. We went to elephant rocks every time so it is always a very nostalgic experience. More recently I went back for the first time in nearly a decade and enjoyed it just as much. Plenty of fun exercise to get climbing the boulders and great views to be had.
  • It was a lot of fun playing on the rocks. We climbed and explored for an hour! This place is great for a adventurous adult who loves to trailblaze and climb rocks. The rocks don't really look like elephants though.
  • Super cool place to visit. A good place to hike. Bring the dog and stuff to grill, the have bbq pits for everyone to use and super cool views from up high on giant rocks!
  • A well paved state park encompassing massive granite boulders. An interpretive trail for the vision impaired allows for exploration of the natural surroundings. Sport bouldering is permitted without assistive equipment placed on the rock (eg traditional rock climbing equipment). Only bouldering pads and rock shoes.
  • Awesome time. Have to make it here at least every summer. Johnson shutins and Tom Sauk make for a great trifecta for a family outing.
