  • Fun hike for the whole family. Bring sunscreen and water and wear sturdy shoes. There is more than one trail to check out. Pack a lunch and make a day of it!  more »
  • This was our second time here and it was just as neat the second time. Just a really beautiful place and so much fun to climb around on. My kids, ages 5 & 11, absolutely loved it. I highly recommend v...  more »
  • This is a must-do for anyone anywhere nearby. Bring a picnic lunch, hike a paved trail through the rocks, and go off-road and explore the rocks on your own. Lots of shade, a cool history. A clean day ...  more »

  • This park is a must-visit spot for outdoor enthusiasts! Bring water, snacks or a picnic lunch, good, comfortable hiking shoes with traction, and plan on spending several hours here! Our family has been here twice and we absolutely love it. There are easy paths for those that want to take it easy and just enjoy the sights and plenty of places to explore for more adventurous and experienced hikers and climbers. Truly something for everyone! If you're not afraid of a little climbing, scaling and jumping, definitely hike your way to the cliffs overlooking the lake - spectacular! And the trail to the old railcar stop is really cool. From strollers to teens to adults and older folks and individuals with disabilities - everyone can enjoy this park!
  • We love this park! You can walk the paved path around the boulders, or you can climb the boulders themselves. Bathrooms are available and water fountains (although be sure to take your own water just in case - right now the water is off due to improvements), as well as picnic tables. The path is mostly shaded, but the boulders aren't so be sure to take sunscreen. You don't need more than a couple hours here, but if you want to make a day of it, grab your swimsuit and hop over to Johnston Shut-ins, too.
  • Friends told me about Elephant Rocks so I finally made the drive. My girlfriend and I had an absolute blast. For casuals hikers there are various paths, and even some that are paved. If you're more like myself and enjoy hopping around there are all skill levels of hiking and even jumping from rock to rock. Definitely bring some water and GOOD shoes. We couldn't even tell we had been going for 2 hours, I'd recommend this place to anyone.
  • Visited with a couple of friends of mine. We spent almost an entire three hours here; we did stop to grab some lunch. The rocks and various formations are really cool, as is the old ruin. Our favorite thing was definitely climbing rock to rock though. What a blast! Bring some well fitting shoes and some water though, the rocks get hot.
  • This is such a unique place. Great place for kids. They'll love climbing the rocks and squeezing between them. Highly recommended for a family trip.
