  • There are many artistic items for the house, or gifts here. While we didn't buy much, they were fun to browse. The Greenbrier caters the cafeteria, so it's a good cafeteria with daily specials. (They ...  more »

  • Great place to stop and stretch your legs. Nice cafe with reasonable prices. Big, Clean bathrooms. I love seeing the various artists workshops from the viewing windows and seeing all the fine arts and crafts from woodworking and knife making to quilting and glass blowing. Excellent!
  • Stop HERE! Not the travel plaza, not anywhere else on the Turnpike. The Tamarack is a great place to stop for a good hot lunch and a bathroom break. It is kept extremely clean, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is always hot a tasteful. In addition, there is a coffee shop and ice cream inside as well. Also a great place to stretch you legs as you walk around seeing the "best of West Virginia."
  • Tamarack is always a fun place to stop when driving through Wv. My husband and I stop I would say 75% of the time when we are driving from NC to Wv then back! The food is GREAT! The Greenbrier coffee station is my FAVORITE!! This last time I had the salted caramel latte. It was sooo good!
  • The Tamarack Arts and Crafts Center is amazing place. It never disappoints. It is a marketplace for WV products, primarily arts and craft work. The Greenbrier Resort runs the food concession in a cafeteria style venue. The food here is excellent and reasonably priced.
  • I often stop here for lunch, great food! I especially adore the trout. Shopping for gifts is well worth the stop, very skilled artisans and works- from large sculptures, great woodworking (many kitchen items), paintings, photography, textiles, hand blown glass, children's toys, books and music of the mountains. Great ice cream, the food service is by Greenbrier.
