  • Fantastic, always enjoy going there. My grandchildren love it to. Through all the seasons and all occasions.
  • Came here 1 week out from Halloween so pumpkins were pretty much picked over at this point. I thought there would be more activities: corn maze, etc. but there really wasn't anything to do here but pi...  read more »
  • Maybe we made the mistake of going there on a Sunday afternoon, but there were a million people there, and the longest lines I've seen next to a theme park. We went ahead and bought two kids "Fun Pass...  read more »
  • This company has the absolute WORST customer service! I would never recommend them to anyone and will never use them again. I hired them in March of 2015 to fully design and landscape my front yard. Nothing was planted until June and it was so hot that quite a few of the plants died from heat because they were so young. The designer/planter told me the reason they pushed back my installation so far was because some other customer wanted a LOT done in his yard that cost much more than what I wanted so they helped him first. Now, more plants they installed have died over the winter. I called them to make good on their one year guarantee on March 23, 2016 and sent them email pictures of the dead plants as they asked on that day. Today is May 18th and not one single word back has happened or any effort made to help me. I just called again today. I have little hope of resolution because they seem just to be money motivated and terribly organized.
  • The Halloween stuff is super awesome. Kids loved it. Love going out and picking berries they are the best! Going out later for veggies!! Cannot wait!
  • Took my kids to go on the hayride on a Friday at 11am and was told because they were not a part of a school group, we would have to wait until after 1p. Their hours had stated 9 to 5! Looked around and everything else had an admission price. Left and went to Hanover Vegetable Farm and had no problems. Even though there were several school groups there, they took my kids on the hayride and they had several FREE kid friendly activities for the kids to do after their super fun hayride! They were friendly and polite and made us feel welcome, which certainly wasn't the case at Ashland Berry Farm! We will never go back to ABF and would definitely recommend Hanover Vegetable Farm to anyone!
  • I am an ex Berry Farm employee. More specifically a haunted staff member for the haunted hay rides. I've worked at the berry farm for five years on and off volunteer work. I'm simply writing this review to express my feeling towards this "attraction". As said before, I have worked there for about five years and every year I have said to myself that this year will be my last. Why? Mainly due to the fact that there is positively nothing good about this place. Granted my fellow haunters I've worked with were the only thing making it worth while and love what they do. But we as haunters can only take but so much. Working every night at the Berry Farm Booger Woods is, for a lack of a better word, dangerous. I understand that frightening people can result in them reacting with a swing of the fist or a kick. I have been kicked and punched before, many times. Just recently, we had a fellow haunter get attacked by customers, another (who is a friend of mine) got purposely punched in the face by the same customers for the sake of causing issue. And those very same customers almost got physical with myself and other fellow haunters. When you work at a business that openly allows people to come in belligerent drunk, carry weapons, or who are all in all going cause issues, working there would become rather hazardous. I personally I have had to deal with people fall over drunk, puking, and even urinating in our working area because "they could care less". We as haunters try to move them along so that they do not cause trouble, but said customers decide to take it upon themselves to cause issue. I've dealt with nasty customers on a regular basis with this job, some of which were children as young as what appeared to be less than ten years old. Working conditions are also something that should express concern. Our work areas, especially my own and others, are poorly constructed. Nails stick up out the wood, wood paneling falls out of frame, and feels as though it has not been fixed or rebuilt in years. Customers and even myself have slipped and hurt themselves in tunnels areas that are caked with mud. And now the piece de resistance. The pay is minimal. Normally, working at a haunted attraction would have the actors get paid at least 10 dollars or more an hour! We, however, get paid 7.25 an hour. But there is a catch. If a haunter was to work every night, they would get a 100 dollar bonus at the end of the month. Is it worth it? No. A 100 dollar bonus is not worth the risk of getting physically harmed due to a drunk person or someone who is not in the right frame of mind. So, please, the next time you go through the haunt and complain that the staff is rude or mean, please understand where we are coming from. All in all the, Berry Farm is nice place to take your kid to get a pumpkin or two during the day, but when night falls, it isn't worth it. It's expensive and not a lot of bang for your buck. If you wish to go to a haunted attraction, I would personally recommend somewhere else. Thank you.
  • I have gone for the past 5 years, each year has gotten worse. I am very scared of haunted stuff and NONE of this was scary. Everyone all around is were extremely disappointed. I came from Palmyra, Va and other than the family and friends that we were with this was an definite disappointment. A truly waste of money.
