We took our travel trailer and had a blast! The newly renovated grounds are impeccable and well-maintained. The rangers were extremely helpful and polite. The close proximity to trails and Go Ape make... read more »
We have camped here twice in the past month. The new upgrades are great and is a great option for close state park camping for my family. One downside was we had a lot of rain this past weekend and on... read more »
Stopped in here over the summer with family and friends who were visiting from out of town. They wanted to do some sort of outdoor activity, so we opted to go to Lums Pond for a few hours. There is a ... read more »
Why is there an 8 person limit per campsite if six people can't talk around the fire without being constantly hounded by the park rangers??? We stayed 2 nights. First night there was only 4 of us chatting. The park ranger came by, said that it was a 30 min past 10 when the quiet hours start and that we were being too loud especially that close to the street... Second night we moved our fire ring ( with permission) to the back of the campsite and tried to keep our voices low. Still the ranger came by said that he had been watching us for the past 10 min ( creepy) and we were still being too loud especially with all the noise we were making by throwing our beer cans in the recycling bag!!! He threatened to throw us out! I mean come on! The campground itself looks more like a park than wilderness. No hot water though so that should make you feel closer to nature.
Loved the full hook up sites. Tons of room and nice pads. TV would have been the icing on the cake. Showers are brand new and secure. They can use A/C though, so hot inside.
I take Hund to the dog training area. Great spot! The ticks haven't been as bad as they used to be.
One of the most beautiful places in Delaware. Hiking, disc golf, sports fields, fishing, biking, water sports, etc... This is one of my favorite places to hike and watch the sunset
I have fished a lot in this park, and have no complaints. I read someone talking about septic systems leaking into pond never smelled nor seen sewage in there. The facilities around the park are questionable like the bathrooms being cleaned but remember your in an outside park. I have caught all types of fish, bass, bluegill, and catfish, nice pond lots of room! Park offers, vollyball courts, ball fields, walking trails, freesbie golf, go-ape which drives me crazy but that's just me. I also believe they have basketball and tennis courts.Nice place to have a picnic, go fish, or just walk with the family!
