  • Great first experience. I had never been cross country skiing before and decided it would be in my best interest to purchase the 1 hour private lesson. It was definitely worth the money. My instructor was wonderful. He was kind, reassuring, and most importantly knew how to teach! I can't wait to go again.
  • Very good place for cross-country skiing. Much quicker to get to from the South bay than the Royal Gorge. Many green trails, and even blue and black trails are not overly challenging. The rental equipment is good (though I used my own boots). The only downside, at least at the time of writing, is that many trails were only groomed for skating, and not for striding.
  • The best winter destination in the Sierras! Rent some cross country skis and experience a the PEACEFUL beauty of the mountains. Or rent some sleds and take the kids to the uncrowded sledding Hill then get some hot chocolate at the Meadow Cafe. It's worth the trip and WAY better than the craziness of Tahoe.
  • I love this place. The staff are very friendly and the skiing is great. They have a great range of trails, from beginner to advanced. If you are an advanced skier, make sure you ski Grin And Bear It if it's open!
  • Great place for cross-country skiing. Rental staff was very helpful and accommodating as we adjusted our purchase (day rental -> lessons). Trails were nicely groomed and labeled. Friendly crowd.
