  • Must visit for every Navy enthusiast. When you visit the parking, you may not find anybody around. Drive till the building next to the ship to buy tickeys. During winter, ship can be very cold inside. Make sure to be well insulated.
  • What a great and interesting place to go. The ship looks amazing and you can look at all the rooms inside from the engine room to the kitchen. A must see if you're in Bay City or live nearby. Also if you meet a guy named Bill walking around in a U.S.S. Edson hat, ask him for a tour, he will gladly show you around and tell you a lot about the history of the ship.
  • We stopped by the U.S.S. Edson on display in the Saginaw River during the Tall Ship Celebration 2016. We were on the way to visit the Saginaw River Rear Range Light and our shuttle bus stopped at the ship so we visited the ship on the way. It looks nice sitting in the river, and looks good even when it still needs some renovations. I thought it was very cute that their little landing craft on display was called "Ed's Son"😁 The ship is still being worked on but it's worth the time to visit.
  • A great piece of history. Definitely Bay City's secret treasure!
  • A great experience. Well worth a visit. A favorite of our two small grandsons....and mine.
