  • Riverwalk Pier is constructed over the site of an old railroad bridge. The entrance is located in the southern section of Veterans Memorial Park. The pier stretches out into the Saginaw River, close to the actual shipping channel. The pavilion is basically just roofed shelter. The pier has no other amenities other than benches scattered along it's length. There is a railing along it's length, however children should still be supervised. Some of the old ship hulls near the (defunct) Davidson Ship Yard can be seen if the river level is low enough. At the extreme end/terminus, the pier turns to face down river. I visited that section during the 2016 Bay City Fireworks Festival, and it gave a nice view of the display. During other times of the year, you can view bulk loaders moving along the river, along with other vessels.
