  • We have been here in 2010 and then again November 2016. The casino is nice. It isn't as smoky as others and they offer free beverage stations with pop and water throughout the casino. I was extremely ...  more »
  • We decided to visit since we heard how nice it is... We had a lot of fun. Didn't. Win anything but that isnt the reason we went. We just wanted to check it out. Its def. Worth going.
  • The venue is basically a large banquet room with 95% floor seating (remaining seating is makeshift bleachers in the back of the room). Acoustics and sound quality were terrible and some of the poorest...  more »

  • Very disappointing experience. The casino doesn't allow semi truck parking. I wanted to spend some money there and go to eat at their restaurant. Apparently, they are so rich that they don't want my money. All the other casinos I've been to allow truck parking but not here. Truckers beware. They will tell you to park at nearby TA station and hire a taxi at your own cost. Ridiculous!!! They will never see me or my family at this casino anymore. There are other much more hospitable places then this one.
  • Wow, what a dinner! We won a credit towards a dinner for two at Nibi, their top restaurant. I called ahead to ask if we could use the credit ($150) towards dinner for 4 and bring another couple. They were accommodating. On top of that, because I'd contacted them in advance they gave us what felt like extra special service. An amazing night of platter sized appetizers, a visit from the chef and a couple of surprises. The credit amounted to about half off as we had expected but to share it with friends was super nice. All in all a night to remember. Worth a special trip whether you are into gambling or not.
  • I go a lot. Went during the day on a Friday. Morning was quiet and able to get on machines without any problem. Very busy by early afternoon. My only complaint is that I go often and no longer get comps that I once got (i.e. $10 off restaurant, $5 in red hot credit play). The slots are also a lot tighter than what they were when they opened. They have moved machines recently and I do not like the new layout. They should also advertise the non-smoking slots are by the hotel so people who cannot be around smoke enter through that door instead of going through a nice sized smokey casino to get to it. Besides that, it is a standard casino, lots of penny machines but a lot of them start at .50 a pull, some 1.00 (why are they called penny machines?). The atmosphere is the best I have found around Michigan that is if you like to listen to good music and they keep you pumped up with all the big winner announcements. You don't feel cramped. They keep the place very clean.
  • I go to Firekeepers at least once a week. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun without being overwhelming. The customer service is on par with Vegas casinos and I’ve never been disappointed in the service I’ve received. Many people will review the casino and give it fewer stars because of their gambling experience there, but, it is just that, a gamble. Aside from the sheer luck of winning or losing money while gambling, you really can’t beat Firekeepers. The drinks are the most reasonably priced drinks I’ve had at any Michigan/Illinois/Indiana casino and there are several bars at which you can get a drink, each offering a different atmosphere. The bartenders are great and even on their busiest days do their best to remember names and drink orders even though they have served hundreds of customers that day. The executive hosts are, for the most part, great. My host makes a point to come visit me while playing and stops to chat if he sees me walking around. My friend’s host, however, has never bothered to come find her and introduce herself to my friend, leaving us each with very different opinions on the hosts at Firekeepers. Overall my luck has been decent at Firekeepers. I’ve personally won a few jackpots, had several nights of big, non-jackpot wins, and I’ve known people who have won the monthly grand prize giveaways. That doesn’t mean I don’t have a “bad night” at Firekeepers every now and then but the overall positive experience keeps us coming back regardless of those few nights where we might lose. PROS: Great, friendly staff Clean Fun atmosphere Inexpensive drinks Wide variety of games (slots and tables) Wide range of betting amounts ( 1 cent to $100) Great restaurants Great service CONS: Can be crowded on concert nights Can be crowded on giveaway nights
  • Absolutely loved it! We stayed in a double room, which was spacious and nice. We got to enjoy the slot machines , then we also enjoyed the giant hot tub, pools, and the sauna and the steam room. Not to mention i loved the bathroom. The also provide complementary pop an coffee. The also have a wonderful selection on restaurants to choose from.
