  • We have visited this Zoo so many times. And even had a birthday party/sleepover/breakfast with the animals for our daughter many years ago. It is probably one of the best Zoos in the nation and probab...  more »
  • We went for the Halloween at the zoo, ZooBoo. It was a wonderful time. It is geared for kids, but that does not mean that adults will not have fun as well. Makes sure to get the tickets for the Africa...  more »

  • My family and I would go to this zoo all the time when I was a kid. Recently I took my own family there, and we were able to experience a lot of the things that I remembered from my youth. This zoo has a decent amount of highlights. The too of that list is of course Wild Africa. The space for the giraffes and a handful of other animals is so large that it is like seeing them in their home environment as they mingle together. The newer exhibits like the snow leopards and the beard are also very cool. One of the things that I felt always set this zoo apart is their use of the land. It has a more natural feel because it is essentially built amongst the forest with lots of space in between the habitats. Unfortunately this seems to mean that it takes a lot more effort to maintain, and as a result, many of the older parts of the zoo have fallen in disrepair. Boards from the older boardwalks are rotting and structures are roped off since they aren't as safe. When we went this year, there seemed to be an improvement from last year with some boards replaced and the structures removed. This zoo has a lot of potential to be even better than it already is. It takes a lot to maintain something of this size and bring in new features at the same time. It needs the support of the community to do that. Please stop in and check it out.
  • This is really a great zoo! They have a good variety of animals, and they all have proper enclosures. I don't leave this place feeling sorry for the animals, as they all have plenty of room to roam.
  • My 2 year old and I love Binder Park. We wish we were closer to go every weekend! It would be nice to know more information about each specific animal. Their names, stories, why they're at the zoo, etc. It would help people get to know them a little better.
  • We visit tbis zoo at least once every year. It is a beautiful, well kept facility. Although they provide up close and personal opportunities for interaction with a variety of animals, they also have large natural areas for them to enjoy. You get the impression you are viewing them in their natural habitat. We absolutely love it!
  • We really enjoyed this zoo overall, and will definitely come back in the future! The animals have nice enclosures with trees and grass, rather than the typical cement boxes I'm used to seeing. And the entire place seems well maintained, without the usual litter and debris. Our favorite part was, of course, feeding the giraffes. My only gripe is the price of food and drink, but being a privately funded zoo that uses those profits for the animals, I don't mind paying a little more for a few things.
