  • When you get a day in the upper 70's in February (in NJ), you find something to do outdoors! Batsto Village was suggested to us, so we took a ride over. We (my 10 year old daughter and myself) were pl...  more »
  • This is a wonderfully preserved place to visit; a great museum. Nice grounds for children to have fun on; beautiful scenery and not too much to take in for an afternoon. Give a donation to enter. I hi...  more »
  • For a second pass has Batsto we are always delighted. This time we did it with our 3 children, they all loved it! The buildings are well preserved, the very clear explanations, in short, a very good family getaway and not too far from new York City!

  • I went for the WAS astronomy night. Nice Dark place.... seem safe too. (Unlike Atsion)
  • One of the oldest settlements in NJ. Really cool place to walk around and absorb history or walk the Pine Barrens. It's free with spots to eat for picnics. Bring your family! Oh and there are Pokestops and gyms here!

  • I just love this place. The beautiful cedar lake, the wonderful mansion, and the white sands of the Pine Barrens make for a wonderful visit.
  • This place is absolutely gorgeous in the fall. I live in Hammonton which is not far from Batsto at all. I took my wife and two young children to Batsto Village this past weekend to just walk around and relax a little bit. The fall scenery with old buildings, beautiful trees, and lake was out of this world. It is free to enter the village and not only is it awesome scenery but a great learning experience for younger children. There is also a picnic area near the lake which makes for a nice lunch spot. I would recommend Batsto Village to anyone and try to get there before the leaves fall.
