  • We took about 2 1/2 hours to see it all and it was great! Small but plenty to see. I was disappointed that the kangaroo wouldn't come out. Other than that all the other animals looked happy!
  • I am a member at the Brec Zoo. Worth the price of a membership if you go more that 3 times a year. My only dislike at the zoo is that there are no lions or elephants. Those are always what my 3 year old wants to see. But I do appreciate the care given to the animals and the way the zookeepers take the time to educate us on something new every time they see us. Always willing to take the time to answer questions for my son.
  • I've been going to this zoo for 40 years. It is a small one and that's ok. I live out of state now but bring my 2 little ones because my 4yr loves riding the train. We called to see if the train was running and was told it was all day. We got there and they were taking the train out to work on the gas engine, switch to the diesel and add a car; 30 minutes before the 1.50$ cheap rate Wednesday special. It took till 30 minutes before closing to do this. Then they had put on a car that had non working breaks so no train ride. My son was crushed and though the price isn't bad 5 of us for 34$, we only went for the train.
  • Great zoo! Wish they would have new attractions often. Or maybe shows with the animals
  • Took my two young grandchildren for the first time here. I wasn't impressed. While it was pretty and clean, there's just not a lot of animals, exhibits or hands on activities. And def not enough food/snack stations. Maybe I'm just spoiled to other zoos (fort worth, tx) and the level of exhibits. The staff was super friendly, all of them. I would say this is a good zoo for younger kids and a short afternoon trip. It def will not occupy or entertain older kids.
