ColoVista Golf Club, Bastrop

Categories: Golf Courses, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
3.1/5 based on 20+ reviews on the web
ColoVista Golf Club winds through the surrounding residential community amid majestic vistas, providing golfers with challenging terrain, subtle turns and treacherous optical illusions. Rolling fairways, well-protected, undulating greens and forgiving landing areas lead to a variety of shot strategies.

The first nine holes are situated in the valley and gradually ascend to higher ground. The signature par-3, No. 15, features a 100-foot elevation change from tee to green, requiring golfers to be mindful of club selection. The view of the Colorado River from the raised tee box is jaw-dropping and starts a string of stunning finishing holes rivaling all others in Texas.

  • Daughter & son in law suggested The View. Sam & Antonio (9 y/o) play golf here. Great meal, good value & great sunset. Excellent excellent service. Will definitely be there again.
  • I have been a property owner at Colovista for two years and just wanted to comment that the golf course has improved so much since my wife and I moved here and to thank all the people involved in it's improvement especially the Grangers.
  • This course has definitely made a nice comeback!! Rain had greened up the fairways and greens nicely. Back 9 is a blast. Signature hole is the part 3 #15 featuring 190' drop.
  • Course was fun but head pro was a total jerk. He was extremely snotty to my mom which was uncalled for.. They really need to do something about customer service as less than desirable. On the other hand course is fun and challenge be as it offers an open type links on the front and real tight with specific shot placement on the back.
  • Extremely peaceful. Definitely Bastrop, Texas hidden jewel. I have recommended this to friends, family and golfers, and I will continue to!
  • Let me start this post by saying I have always loved the layout of this course and enjoyed playing it prior to today. I and a few other friends played this course March 22, 2015. We drove 80 miles to play after asking the golf shop the condition of the course. It had just rained the night prior and we didn't want to make the drive if it was going to be sloppy. We were told the course was fine and drained well. What we saw was not what we were told. The course was extremely wet and the course was a mess. Clover, poiana and other miscellaneous foreign grasses covered the tee boxes, fairways and rough. Many of the greens that were only a few years old were covered in poiana. With the weather fluctuations I can understand foreign grass infestation in the rough maybe even some in the fairway. I could not understand how the greens could be so taken over with it. It also didn't have enough cart paths to protect the fairways from carts whom were wandering all over the course rutting the fairways. We paid approximately $50 to play this course. The course is overpriced for the condition. I hope the course will get some needed attention when it dries out and management considers more cart paths.
