  • I went to play golf with some friends. The golf course was really nice and the people were friendly. It was a nice place to have fun with your friends
  • Went for the first time to their Friday fish fry. Excellent. Choice between two fish and choice of baked or fried. Included salad, soup and dessert. Great deal for the price. Also reasonably priced. W...  read more »
  • Great fun! $20 for 2 hours is a great price. The tubing hills are nicely maintained, fast, and the employees were great! The key is to come early, if you come later in the day there is no guarantee of...  read more »
  • We had our wedding here on July 29th, 2016. I don't think I could have asked for anything more. The staff here was so caring and wonderful. Our food was amazing. The bartenders were awesome! The pictures we took on the hill at sunset were breath taking. Thank you all so much!!
  • The WORST golf experience EVER. Where do I even begin. Ignorant, rude, nasty attitudes, immature, unprofessional, disrespectful, negative behavior. I mean the list can go on and on. What started out as a memorable and fun gathering quickly turned into the most regrettable moment ever. First and foremost this entire situation took place before the first hole was even completed, the ranger named Tom had a sour attitude from the get go. He would roll his eyes when someone in the party missed their shot and had an annoyed look on his face the entire time. He then proceeded to tell the bridal party in a very loud aggressive voice that they needed to "hurry up" because they were "holding everyone up" mind you only 2 out of the 9 people had taken their shot. Last time I checked villa Olivia was open to the public, not just professionals, so, sorry if they weren't tiger woods or anything. One of the groomsman asked if he would be going along with them the entire tee times. Tom again with an attitude said yes and decided to go up to the groomsman chest to chest in an attitude of wanting to fight him and than proceeded to use PROFANITY towards him (we had minors in the group) Not to sure what other establishments you all have been too, but never has profanity been the "norm" The bridal party obviously didn't want to be treated this way and decided to go back for a refund. Again not one full round at the first hole was played. Now on to management. Hoping that management would be there to help in the situation, they did the complete opposite. The accused the group of only wanting money back because the course was "too hard" to play and that they were cheating the system. When a manager was asked for, a man named Jason came to the counter. After telling him the situation. He laughed at their faces and agree with everything his staff had said. Oh and Tom, yea he denied acting that way. Why is management laughing? Shouldn't they be problem solving, making the customer happy, resolving the situation. No instead Jason just laughed. After going back and forth they finally got their money back. Beyond lost for words at how the bridal party was treated. I will NEVER EVER bring any money into this business again. They are rude and very unprofessional. Trust me when I say I will never refer anyone there. I'll make it a point to stop people from coming here. STAY AWAY FROM THE PLACE !!!!!
  • This rating is for golf only at VO. Front nine was in pretty good condition, but the back nine left a lot to be desired. Some fairways had major areas under repair, and one of the greens had a 3 foot diameter dirt hole. The golf carts are so old they have "I like Ike" bumper stickers. Seriously, the carts are bad. The twosome in front of us had their cart die on them at 16. Our cart would lurch into gear which was killer on our lower backs, and the brakes were iffy as well. It also had rainwater in the canopy that leaked out on our drink holders. No glass windshield in front or club canopy in the back. The staff couldn't have been nicer, absolutely no complaints on that front. Very pleasant, from the pro shop, to the starter/marshall, to the cart vendor and halfway house. Pace of play was a bit slow, but acceptable, for a weekend. This course could be great with a bit of additional care, and carts from this century. Until then, consider another location for a round of golf.
  • This banquet hall is fine. No issues upon my visit bar was started by two very good bartenders. Didn't eat there but people around me seemed to enjoy the food. Everything was enjoyable.
  • 5-Star Chicago-area Ski Hill. I'm not sure why this place has such low reviews. Is it Copper or Heavenly? No. But, it's as good skiing as you're ever going to find in the middle of the prairie! The chairlift is such a relief from the usual Chicago-area-tow-rope-only hills. The ticketing and rental area is spacious and bright and shiny and new. The cafeteria had tables with tablecloths, banquet chairs, a nice selection of quick service food, a full bar, clean bathrooms, etc. The service was great. I had two servers busting their humps to get me a cup of coffee made when they realized they didn't have any fresh. Yes, the lines left by the groomer were sloppy, but again, this is Bartlett, not Breckenridge. The chairlift was new and ran smooth, and most of the operators were good at placing the chair under you and adjusting the speed for new skiers. The terrain park had everything you would want, but it was fairly compact and from what I saw you probably couldn't string together multiple tricks on multiple features in one run. All-in-all the best skiing experience you could get within 60 minutes of the Loop.
