  • We have a small vacation home in North Conway, and love to XC ski here. Trails are nicely maintained, and many are up on the hillside, through the woods, or along the river. No super wide trails, and never a lot of other skiers out there, but the skiers you meet are all friendly. Dogs are allowed, which is fine with me as long as they are well behaved (and they always are). Very homey atmosphere, the rental center is the living room of the house, and the warming hut out back often has hot soup and fresh warm bread with butter available. About 15-20 minutes from North Conway, well worth the drive. A lot more personal approach.
