  • Terrible. Worst experience in wine tasting I've ever had. The staff were not helpful in setting up a tasting, they flat out refused because they had a large party reservation coming in. They instead kind of directed us to the brew barn with vague directions on how to get to it and I was told that I could get a glass of whatever wine I wanted while my husband did a beer flight. Once we got to the brew barn, I was told that I could not have the wine I wanted because they didn't have a bottle opened, but I could have a glass if I purchased the bottle first. I opted for a different wine, which was terrible and not at all in a wine glass but rather in a short plastic cup. My husband (a home brewer) said that the beer was mediocre and ordering the flight was not very straight forward. They didn't have enough beers on tab to pick a proper flight. The beer was not good, he didn't finish any of his flight and I didn't finish the wine. Not one person checked in on us to see how things were going and there was not enough seating area in the brew barn. Overall the staff was very unhelpful and unwelcoming. We did have a wonderful experience at Tabor Hill nearby.
  • Getting too full of themselves. $12 for a tasting. Wine was always mediocre. Not bad by Michigan standards but not the star of the experience. The setting was great. Now it's so packed. We showed up and had to make a reservation to do a tasting this year instead of just crowding up to the wine counter and waiting for an opening. The reasoning behind this is obvious, to lighten up the crowding. And get you moving around elsewhere spending money while you wait. We put in our names with an hour wait. Went to the beer area and waiting in line an additional 25 minutes to buy a glass of wine and a beer to enjoy while we wait. Beer wasn't as flavorful as in years past, possibly my irritation with the situation soured my tastes. The wine we wanted wasn't available there in a glass so we opted for a bottle of champagne. Waited an additional 10 minutes for a table to open up just to sit. By the time we each had a glass of champagne and watched drunk people dance to middle aged men sing baby got back it was time to go before our tasting reservation was called. I get what they're doing. They keep charging more and packing them in. Good for the business but no longer the same experience. Was always one of our favorite places to have some fun and hang out a bit during our wine trail experience but we won't be going back.
  • If I could give zero stars I would have. 15.00 for wine tasting unbelievable. Wine hostess very rude. Ruined our annual wine tasting and buying. Spent my 200.00 dollars at a better more friendly winery
  • Terrible experience. Selection and service much worse with their new format. Our group of 9 usually spent about $100 per person here. This year they a have gotten! 100 total. Felt very unappreciated by the staff.
  • Sauvignon Blanc is nice, the Bourbon was nice as well, the Black Walnut is great! Hard to believe this tasting is worth $12 with no sharing but the product was decent. Line for beer before noon was 15 people deep. Use some of that money and staff up.
