Shore Path, Bar Harbor
Categories: Wildlife Areas, Nature & Parks
Stroll the 1.6 km (1 mi) scenic Shore Path, with views of the harbor and Porcupine Islands at Acadia National Park. The trail cuts between lavish mansions and lush private gardens on one side and rugged, rocky shoreline on the other. Ocean views bring sightings of boats and ships, from tiny kayaks to large cruiseliners. Since the spot is away from the usual hotel and tourism zones, you'll have the chance to take photographs of the landscape, including tide pools. Soak up the local history via outdoor signs that mark the path and explain the significance of landmarks along the way. Put Shore Path and other Bar Harbor attractions into our Bar Harbor trip generator, and watch your holiday take shape.

The views of the bay and the boat traffic are wonderful. It is also fun to see some of the large homes on one side and the rocky coast on the other. It is a very easy walk.
