  • Although our site seeing tour encountered a bit of fog my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the 2hour trip. We had the good fortune of seeing the seals through the mist and do plan to take the tour...

  • Highly recommend this two hour boat tour. We were lucky enough to see lots of wild life but that’s not a guarantee. Even if you don’t see a lot, the boat ride was great. Many historical sights to see....  more

  • The crew, the experience, the weather, everything - awesome! Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. We saw puffins, porpoise, seals, bald eagles, lighthouses, and more! I was concerned that the 3.5 hour tour would be too much for my 2 young kids but they were entertained right up until the very end. My youngest is even asking if we can go again! Excellent tour! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Hint: strongly recommend windbreaker jackets. The wind cuts through just a sweatshirt.
  • If you’re looking to enhance your trip and really see more than what meets your eye from land, book a tour. So much to see and learn. During our trip we saw 4 bald eagles, a bunch of seals and other birds. Take all the pictures you can, the scenery is beautiful. You can rent binoculars for $5 and they help tremendously when trying to spot the bald eagles and other wildlife. Our tour guides were nice & knowledgeable. The dock is conveniently located at our hotel which made it that much better! Such a fun time!!
  • Beautiful tour of Bar Harbor and beyond. This was a last minute addition to our trip but was well worth it, even having been to Acadia a few times before. Emily, the naturalist, was very informative and kind. You could tell she enjoyed teaching everyone about the history of the area and especially the birds. We were able to see quite a few puffins, but definitely recommend binoculars because they don't all come close to the boat. Had plenty of room to sit and enjoy the ride as well. Also bring sunblock and a good hat because if you're on the top of the boat you'll be sitting in direct sun for a few hours.
  • We chartered a boat and our captains were Kelly and Dallas. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to spend our time on the water with! They were amazing! Our boat was immaculately clean and our captains went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time ever. Dallas was so informative about the area and Kelly was so much fun to talk with! They were both so incredibly friendly and personable, we had the most amazing time. It was the highlight of my trip to Bar Harbor. Thank you Kelly and Dallas for making our trip to Bar Harbor such an incredible experience!
  • My friends and I had an amazing experience on the Lighthouses & Puffins tour. It was the highlight of our time in Maine. We saw seals, puffins, a bald eagle, and even some porpoises! The naturalist was very informative and we loved learning all about the history of the area and the inhabitants of the islands. Such a deal for the amount of information you learn and nature you see! Loved learning more about lobstering. There is also coffee available on board for cash and binoculars to rent. Bring a warm jacket! Thank you Acadian Boat Tours!
