Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint, Bandon
(4.7/5 based on 440+ reviews on the web)
Stand at Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint to admire the sights of the coast and the facial features on the massive rock protruding from the sea. From the viewpoint, look for the rock's profile as it seemingly gazes skyward. Take the stairs down to the clean beach for more views and rock pools to explore at low tide, but wear shoes with good tread in case of slippery areas. During your visit, keep in mind the Native American legend about the site, which tells of a woman's voice in the wind. Picnic tables and restrooms are available on site. Arrange your visit to Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint and discover more family-friendly attractions in Bandon using our Bandon vacation planner.

  • Stopped by with my family in December. Tide was in so we were unable to explore the caves. We still had fun and took lots of pictures. Sunset was beautiful and a must place to visit.
  • Participated in a Oregon coast photography workshop. Bandon was one of the best spots. If you want a very cool sunset shot. Take it here

  • This place was very cool, litteraly the wind would have blown you away if you had a wing suit lol.
  • Cool place and it changes depending on the tide. Probably even better with blue skies. Free access and good parking.
  • A bit hard to see to be honest. Maybe I was looking at it from the wrong side.. Beautiful coast though!
  • Kind of cool but face rock itself is a little underwhelming. Beautiful view of the ocean from the hillside however..
  • Best view of the beach. And cool caves to check out
