  • Rather small but adequate for the two of us, but very dirty in places, with accumulated dust and grime, mouse droppings on the counter tops and in draws. Dinner at the ranch was a joke, no salad, no m...  read more »
  • Great Western town. Must stay at least two nights. Wild life. Ranches. Good Food. country Music. beautiful surroundings.
  • My husband and I spent the week at the Flying L with our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. We stayed there on a time share trade. The facility has its own water park and pool. Each evening ...  read more »
  • I must say the place itself is absolutely beautiful, If I could I would give the no stars though. Never in my entire 32 years have I experienced racism like we did at this place and even the town . We did encounter maybe a handful of locals and maybe one or 2 staff members who were polite, but that was it. We felt so out of place. For example they have smores every night for ALL the people staying at the ranch , on the first night as soon as we got to the area where they were making the smores, the people that were there left including the employee, he only returned when it was time to clean up and on the second night we took our kids again, the employee (a different one from the first night) got all of the marshmallow sticks and placed them in the fire to clean them when there was still about 20 minutes left . What was supposed to be an amazing experience for our children turned out to be one of the worst experiences of our life. NEVER again will we go to this place or town. They're probably glad we wont .
  • We love the Lone Star Lagoon Waterpark! We took my daughter their for her birthday. We used to go quite a bit but stopped going because of the spotty service and long waits for the snack and drink bar. We were unhappy to see that it is still running the same with slow service. Even for drinks. There were also a lot of minors allowed to sit at the bar area which is clearly marked No One Under the Age of 21 allowed to sit at the bar. We love the waterpark itself, but service wise it is lacking.
  • The rooms are nice. Our villa had air conditioning problems at first but they came and fixed it before we came back to the villa later that day. The water park was ok. More for little kids but we did enjoy the lazy river and full stock bar and grill. Our teenagers took advantage of the main pool since everyone was at the water park. They had fun walking the trails as they played the new craze of Pokemon Go. In general, it's was a good early week summer get away. (Mon-Wed)
  • Been going to the Flying L for years now, always had a great time. The kids like the little water park and I usually play a round of golf. Seems like they haven't updated any of their rooms in the last 8 years though. We stayed at the golf suite #11 and the bed was horrible, we ended up leaving a day early just to get home and sleep comfortably. The center of the bed was a hole to where both sides sloped down to the middle. Please do some upgrading........
  • My husband, 8 yr daughter, 6 yr twin boys, & I visited the resort to cool off in the lagoon. We were very happy with everything except that there was no one to there monitoring that the rules were followed. There were older kids about 12-14 yrs old, who were playing on the toddler water slides and, more than once, almost hit my kids. My husband & I do not like to tell other kids how to behave. We told our kids to go play elsewhere & I was shocked when my son said that they shouldn't be punished bc they were following the rules. I asked the kids to please be EXTREMELY careful not to hurt my kids & they surprisingly agreed. In the end, we all had a great time. Although we all wished the water park would've stay open past 6 pm since the daytime heat can be overwhelming. Everyone there was exceptionally friendly. We're definitely going back.
