Categories: Bodies of Water, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.3/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web
A defining landmark, Inner Harbor featured water too shallow in the 18th century for heavy industry. In the 1970s, a visit from tall, masted ships attracted tourism and led to the development of the National Aquarium, Maryland Science Center, and the Harborplace festival marketplace. Restaurants, shops, and hotels fill the space between the attractions and create an attractive cityscape. • I was here for conference the day before the marathon and during fleet week so it was a hectic time, but beautiful weather and great for people watching.
  • It was quiet in the middle of the night. Seemed safe and easy to get around. It was clean and looked very family friendly. The old museum ships were nice to look at. Food options all over the board but still all chain restaurants.
  • The historic ships docked here are incredible and there are plenty of good food venues around. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the National Aquarium and taking the water taxi to Fort McHenry.
  • I visited inner harbor during light city festival. Was a lively place with performances, light installations. Lot of dining and shopping options.
  • Nice place to be for the sunset. Do not miss visiting the Barnes and Noble shop. Great example of restoration.
  • Great place for hanging out no matter who you are.
