  • 3 of us ate lunch in the bar area on weekday. Great food specials & pricing. Fast service. All 3 of us ate for $30.00. No alcohol. We would go back for sure.  more »
  • Being in Bakersfield, we had to swing thru Buck Owens Crystal Palace. We did not see a show or eat there, but were able to walk thru and take in the sights. It was very busy but we enjoyed looking at ...  more »
  • My girlfriend and I went to see vastly underrated and seemingly forgotten Restless Heart, and as usual they were awesome. The sound and lighting were very good, and the seating was fairly comfortable....  more »

  • This is by far the best brunch in the state of California. Everything was so fresh and I made three trips to the buffet and did not even make a dent in all the choices. The biscuits for the biscuits and gravy were so fluffy I thought they were gonna float off my plate. The roast beef was tender and juicy. The fruit salad was so fresh it was like they had a garden in the kitchen.
  • I loved the old historical memorabilia inside the palance. Old pictures of western musical artist up the stair ways. Buck Owen's old convertible car mounted over the bar with other country memorabilia that belonged to Buck behind glass. The Republican ladies had a convention that day and we had a free dinner so it was a great memory for me. A lot of parking and handicap access. Great place to visit especially if you happen to schedule a live musical show.
  • Service was terrible, meal was less than expected. The place wasn't very busy but server was slow, inattentive and not representative of a place like this. When you order a 40$ ribeye, you expect a ribeye and not a small sirloin. I raise livestock and have butchered many. The final product was unsatisfactory. I am a return customer and disappointed that management allows this. I had to dispute my bill and it should've been handled before I was presented with it. Surrounding diners also experienced wrong items being delivered to their table. I guess I now understand why this huge upscale place isn't very busy unless they have a top name star performing. I usually tip 30-40% for good service but not for this. I'm very disappointed that management wouldn't speak face to face with me when I requested it. Eat at your own risk. I'll return but not in the near future. It's sad that such a nice place allows this to happen. The house band is awesome and great entertainment.
  • Saw Dwight Yoakam last night. Was he good? I couldn't tell, the sound was horrible, so loud it was distorted, the first couple songs had feedback, people ordering drinks from the bar during the concert were distracting, the venue is uncomfortable. On a positive note the venue is small and intimate but with all the negatives I won't be back to this place totally unsatisfactory. I will give Dwight another shot sometime.
  • My relitives keep taking me there for brunch, good bufet for brunch. Interesting mix of museum and county western dance hall. Worth visiting at least once.
