  • Snow is still heavy above 9500'. Check with rangers before planning any hikes around that elevation.  more »
  • Making the easy hike to Stella lake at an elevation above 10000 feet is quite an experience when you are coming from the furnace of the Great Basin desert. Temperature was 25° lower than in the desert...  more »
  • Maybe the most remote national park in the lower US. No crowds, no internet, no crazies, just spectacular quiet scenery, birds, wide open roads, and a WOW cave in the park. Loved it.  more »
  • This is an absolutely gorgeous national park. It is a bit out of the way but it is very worth it. The amount of life that lives here is incredible in contrast to the barren desert just outside the park. This park gets very few visitors so it's great to get away from the crowds of other parks. The Lehman caves are also a must see.
  • Quite possibly the most majestic national park, ever. This is truly a slice of heaven. Quiet, intense, approachable and definitely worth the trip off the beaten path to get here. I saw the gorgeous night sky, alpine lakes, and the worlds oldest organisms all in a pristine space.
  • Easily one of my favorite national parks. There is so much to do, from hiking, sight seeing, the caves, camping, etc. And just the scenery change from end to end of the park is unreal. I even enjoyed the long road from the small town into the park, someone has taken road garbage and crafted these amazing sculptures up and down the road. There is even a solar system that is fairly close to scale. Highly recommended.
  • This place is great. The staff who work here are awesome. Be sure to see the night sky if the weather is clear. I prefer the 90 minute cave tour over the 60 minute one. Be sure to register for the tours as far in advance as you can as they can fill up quickly, especially in the summer. Hope you have a great time!
  • The Lehman Cave us beautiful. Some good hiking here. Campgrounds aren't the best if you have an RV, but definitely work for vehicles and tents.
