  • My 7 year old son just finished a week long camp at Walking Mountains and he LOVED it! This is the second year we have participated in the Summer camp program and were once again extremely pleased with it. They always keep the kids engaged and teach important information about our community, our environment and the world we live in. Our 4 year also participates in the Earth Keepers program on a regular basis and he loves it too. Overall, we are so lucky to have this amazing resource right in our own back yard! Keep up the good work WMSC!
  • Whether your are a visitor to the valley or a local, WMSC is one of the great gems of our community. Incredible programs throughout the year, world-class programs and naturalists. Be sure to check their website regularly for programs. In the winter, the evening, moonlight snowshoe tours are amazing. The kids summer programs are fantastic. And the programming throughout the year is unique and informative.
  • We, two university professors (ecology, environmental toxicology) and two 7th graders took a beaver walk with Lindsey Brendel on July 21st 2016. We learned, we laughed and we got very wet. We loved it. Lindsey is knowledgeable, dynamic, and enthusiastic. Her future plans should encouraged as she has a fine career ahead. Thanks Walking Mountain for a lovely evening.
  • I have been to Vail many times in the last few years, I have also been on top of the mountain many times and traveled many walks, but not any traveling with a naturalist. Alexa, did a great job explaining things about trees, flowers, and nature in general.Vail is such a beautiful place its heaven on earth. I would very well do it again the next time I am in Vail.
  • This great experience I will never forget. Our teacher Lindsey was awesome! I learned lots of things about beavers at the Beaver Pond excursion. We talked about beavers having parties in their lodge and dreamed of joining them while waiting for a beaver to pop out of the water. The scenic view of the Gore mountain range in the background as the sunset was beautiful! Lindsey is one-of-a-kind!!!! She is so great with kids and brings an enthusiasm that excites them into loving nature! Thank for a wonderful time!!! Love from Hawaii! =)
