  • Kinnakeet Clay is a wonderfully unique shop with a vast variety of clever artwork; both for useful and practical purposes as well as display. Though there is definitely a beach/water overtone to some of the art, there is a great span of styles. The store is very pleasant and there are so many great gift ideas. The quality is so far above most shops at reasonable prices. The pottery class is a really fun way to spend part of your day with the bonus of creating your own art to take home. The class is surprisingly easy for even those of us that have no talent! I highly recommend looking up Kinnakeet Clay if you are ever nearby.
  • I adore Kinnakeet Clay - Studio & Showroom! Of course, I should... this is my little slice of heaven on Hatteras Island. We offer fantastic shopping for decorative and functional pottery, jewelry, paintings, prints, textiles and much more from approximately 40 local and regional artisans (including myself) plus fresh cut flowers by the stem... you choose your buds, we wrap your bouquet... fresh and lovelies. We also have working artist studios and a full production pottery studio on site where we host classes and workshops in pottery, quilling, watercolor painting, nautical knot accessories and screen printing (to name a few). We're off the beaten path in the Old Avon Village. Seek us out when next you are on the Outer Banks of NC!
