  • We went to fish on the pier for a half of day! They had fishing poles to fish with, bait to buy, etc....... If you've never fished before, I'm sure they would give you pointers if you ask. We talked w...  read more »
  • Nice to see the pier is still operational after all these years. It is the last usable pier on the outerbanks as far as I'm aware. Worth the $1 for the view
  • Nice views. Clean environment for kids. Looks to be a good spot to fish. We were charged 1.00 per person for sightseeing. Friendly proprietor recommended a good place 4 dinner.
  • I had awful experiences at the pier. First we bought some concert tickets which was from 7:30-10. Only we had to wait in line 30 mind to get in and over 45 mins for our first drink and then another 30 for the second. By the time we got our second drink the concert was almost over. Then we rented some poles to do some fishing the next day. Had a nice time fishing but when we were getting ready to leave a group of locals sitting behind the counter started mocking my son and I for thinking we could bring the poles we rented to the beach to fish. Kind of deceiving when they tell you that you can rent the pole for the entire day. Other places you rent poles from let you take them with you for the day. I'll find somewhere else to fish next year! And if you are going to a concert there definately have some drinks before you get there so you can enjoy the band you paid to see!
  • Good Pier, knowledgeable local fisherman almost always around in the drum fishing section on the end. Recently bought out by Koru village. Good for steady bluefish and Spanish mackerel on gotcha plugs. Southern kingfish ('sea mullet'), croaker, flounder on shrimp or squid with bottom rigs. Sharks often on choppy days or at night. Many other species less frequently.
  • Great spot for sunsets. They've got fishin poles for rent which is fun. It's also fun to just walk it and see others bring in fish. Free if you keep your receipt from Pangea, which is right there and had awesome food.
  • Loved the views and being near the ocean with my wife... theres nothing better.
  • great pier, cheap rentals, and inexpensive bait. great for night fishing!
