  • Going to the Jungle Gardens is a very pleasurable way of seeing a wide variety of wildlife in a very picturesque garden setting. The sheer area of the park ensures that it stays quiet and meditative in spite of the deservedly large number of visitors.
  • What a beautiful spot to ride around and stop at various spots to walk around. It's probably even better in summer when the flowers are blooming and the birds are there. It's really quiet and peaceful and easy to find.
  • Everyone goes to Avery Island to tour the Tabasco Factory and shop at the Country Store, but if you are making a trip this way you have to take the driving tour of Jungle Gardens the Avery Family preserve. Check out the map before you head out and select a couple of places to get out and walk around, like the Buddhist Shrine or to explore some of the largest oaks in the state.
  • You want to be able to do the Jungle Gardens at the same time that you go to the Tabasco Factory. The drive through is beautiful - watch out for the Alligators. There are a few short, easy walks to allow you to get out of your vehicle. Plan for a day where you can get there before the rain (If possible). The Magnolia trees were also blooming - it was beautiful and amazing.
  • great jem of LA and part of the tobaco tour, peaceful and charming location
