  • Statue in beautiful location on Hike and Bike Trail. An added attraction to your walk or jog along the lake.  more »
  • We LOVE SRV and didn't even know about this until we saw it on a city map. We're so glad we searched it out and stopped to enjoy the park; the river and the statue.  more »
  • The statue is off the local hike and bike trail. Parking is very iffy, but the walk is not bad anyway. The view in front of the statue is nice, since a lot of people throw balls into the water for the...  more »

  • I like this park, it's really nice come evening with low light and cool breeze. You can use the street lights to recharge your phone if you brought a cord and have a light with a plug on the button.
  • would have love more detail to the statue...the area wasn't as clean as it should be the time we were there....and SRV quit drinking and doing drugs years before he passed, God delivered him....and through rehab and AA he stayed clean and sober...watch his videos and you'll see him Thank God personally he is ALIVE AND WELL......thus the title Mr. Clean on one of his bootlegs....he was a Christian....love the tribute...but he was born and raised in Oak Cliff in Dallas TX...hoping they get this tribute up for him and Jimmie quickly.....they should have done it years ago...so TY Austin for honoring Stevie....idk if he would have liked the huge lifelike statue....because he was humble...probably preferred something much smaller and not a statue of himself....he sure wouldn't want anyone calling him a GOD or a prophet....if you dont' believe me...go listen to all his interviews...he speaks about such in several...
  • Quintessential Austin. This iconic statue on The Hike and Bike trail near the S 1st bridge stands tall and proud enduring Austin is bathed in his omnipresent rock and roll glow. Take a picture during a pretty day, but please don't get run over by the hikers or bikers. Seriously.
  • Love walking Lady Bird Lake when I am in Austin. Stevie Ray Vaughan is one of the many highlights of this stroll. Only issue, there aren't enough public facilities.
  • Beautiful walking path and an interesting place to take photos.
