  • This is a lovely stop off when visiting the contemporary art museum. Spring is especially good, with newly blooming gardens & resident peacocks in mating displays!  more »
  • Took my 3 and 6 yr old for a monring hike, they loved all the paths between the trees and down to the creeks, they could even jump on the rocks to cross the creek. We ended with a walk in the Cottage ...  more »
  • We were driving down from very crowded Mount Bonnell, close to sunset, when we happened upon Mayfield. Perhaps because it was so late in the day, there were very few people around, but plenty of peaco...  more »

  • If you love seeing and taking pictures of peafowl, this is your place! They have so many beautiful peacocks throughout the year. If you are here for the peafowl, park closer towards the entrance and walk towards the building/house. Within this area you will find the peafowl everywhere! If you want to hike, you can park towards the far end and walk the trails. The park is completely free and has it's own private parking lot.
  • Quaint water gardens and flowers beds around the main house where the peacocks roam. A couple of trails extend toward the creek bed or down a steep pathway to the lake with a lookout. Free! Wear good shoes for the rocky terrain. Keep in mind there is not a public bathroom available, just a port-a- potty near the parking lot. Bit of a safety concern toward the back of the property if you have preschoolers or toddlers as the wall is extremely low near the cliff. Not stroller friendly, out Bob handled it OK but would not make it on the trails.
  • Where I have lunch and meditate every chance I get. Love the peacocks. Will definitely use as my wedding venue.!
  • This is a great place to take family and friends from out of town to enjoy the beautiful park with pretty peacocks walking around. There's a nice trail attached to this and it's a wonderful location for photos.
  • The grounds are beautiful. We saw eight peacocks while walking around. There is a short hiking trail that leads to the river. It's worth checking out if you're in the area.
