  • The graffiti wall is the remnants of an old building foundation. Rebar, loose gravel, steep slippery slopes, and poison ivy are among the treats you'll find there. Some of the graffiti is interesting ...  read more »
  • If you visit Austin this is a place to check out while you're in town. Hard to find a place to legally park, but worth the effort. We happened to find this and they had just white washed the entire th...  read more »

  • Nice idea and I think I like the way anyone can come along and add to the graffitti wall. Would be nice to have more professional pieces but I guess anyone can come along and ruin them! Overall it looks really cool anyway.
  • The idea is nice, but ultimately a bit of a letdown. We just went to look, not to paint, but most of the walls are just a mess of scribbles and words, with the occasional gem likely being swiftly covered. One narrow hilly street runs in front of the place, and with all the tourists and visitors, parking is a difficult mess. I feel badly for the residents that live next door. There's lots of garbage scattered around as well. If you do hike up to the top of the park though, there is a nice view to be had. It's a nice concept and all very Weird-Austin, but not somewhere I'd go back to. I hear that they're trying to move it to a new location, so maybe that will be nicer.
  • Great space for both professional muralists and amateurs. Don't make the mistake we did - take spray paint and get creative! Just try not to cover the big, high quality works. Getting to the upper tiers is a hike, but worth exploring all facets.
  • This has got to be my favorite place in Austin. It always inspires me to be creative to see all of the great art. I love catching an artist doing a piece live and to see their process. I love all of the local artists selling their work in the area and I have seen some beautiful jewelry! The parking is the absolute worst! We have learned to not even fight with the tight street right in front and to just park a few blocks back and walk to it. We have gotten lucky a few times but it's not worth your car almost getting hit by two cars trying to go down a one car lane with cars parked on both sides. It's also upsetting to see the great art work getting sprayed on by any visitor that happened to bring a spray paint can. I could only imagine how frustrating it is for the artist but I guess they expect it. It has changed a lot over the years but it's still my favorite place to go to.
  • Absolutely incredible skill on display here. Some of the best street art I have ever seen! The park is actually quite spacious, especially with the tiered levels. So there is plenty to see. You can even add your own. That being said, the grounds look to be a mess, like nobody is caring for it (maybe that's the idea, I don't know). And some untalented jerks have tagged areas they shouldn't like signs and fences. Also, parking can be a pain. We found it better to park at the top by The Castle, but parking up there is even more scarce.
