Where to stay in Austin

Austin bills itself as the "Live Music Capital of the World," so it shouldn't come as a surprise that many of its hotels sell out long before the city's popular festivals. If you wish to stay near downtown's live music scene, look for package deals and book your accommodations well in advance. If downtown clubs and bars aren't your priority, consider hotels located just outside the central part of town, in comfortable areas where you won't need a car to get to most of the city's major cultural sites.

  • Jose sure took great care to be sure we got whatever we needed at the UT Club. There is a new chef Robert and he is terrific! Friday night has been Shrimp night plus fruit or Mussels or other great su...  more »
  • Massive place. Fairly typical huge stadium. Parking is a challenge, so take a book. If you can get in, the University of Teas Club is a high-dollar upscale restaurant with lots of memorabilia.  more »
  • Should check out this stadium if you're a fan of UT or football in general. Games are obviously the best, but even offseason it's awesome.  more »

  • I went to the Texas longhorns spring football game. The orange team against the white team. It was my first time going to a ut game of any sorts and I was impressed with the size of the stadium. It was special and the scoring made it better. The game went into overtime and the orange team which is the defense won 52-51. It was loud and the high scoring made it even special. I got in for free because it was free attendance for the spring gm. Lots of places to get things to eat and sitting directly behind the cheerleaders and near the field was amazing. Hook em
  • The absolute best venue in the country! The first in texas to 100,000 and as always, setting the standard and will continue to do so! The home team's winning percentage says it all! Hook'em!!
  • The sun sucks for day games. Seating is very uncomfortable. There is always some jerk behind you that thinks whistling loudly is the same as cheering. It isn't. It just damages your eardrums idiot. Food is mediocre at best. It's a great time.
  • Unfortunately I was a the gate 2015 on July they didn't allowed to us to enter because it's holiday. I was eager to see the huge stadium but I didn't. Hopefully I will see it soon.
  • Great overall experience, seating is a bit tight for larger people and the higher you go the steeper the incline. Overall great place to watch a game.
