Where to stay in Austin

Austin bills itself as the "Live Music Capital of the World," so it shouldn't come as a surprise that many of its hotels sell out long before the city's popular festivals. If you wish to stay near downtown's live music scene, look for package deals and book your accommodations well in advance. If downtown clubs and bars aren't your priority, consider hotels located just outside the central part of town, in comfortable areas where you won't need a car to get to most of the city's major cultural sites.

  • I was hosting a dinner featuring Texas wines and needed some cheese for a pre-meal icebreaker. These folks totally took over and recommended some amazing cheese with a great explanation of each. Our guests were overwhelmed with the complements we supplied with the award-winning Texas Hill Country wine.
  • If you are not vegan or lactose intolerant, this is what heaven looks like. Beautiful yummy cheeses from around the world plus knowledgeable, helpful staff. It's a great splurge.
  • I'm so happy I went to Antonelli's cheese shop before last weekend, their selections are INSANE! As an amateur foodie I've always liked decadent foods and new experiences but getting to talking to experts in the field and try out different samples to find the right cheese & beer pairing for my palette was very rewarding and these are cheeses I just haven't been able to find anywhere else. Long story short, I got to entertain a few friends who came over on Saturday after a long week and the cheese & ale was a HUGE hit. Warning, these foods will not last in your fridge long. I'll be paying y'all a visit again very soon.
  • I ordered a Cheese & Charcuterie tray for a referring office as a thank you gift for taking such great care of our patients. I was running on a tight schedule but wanted to deliver the tray myself and Antonelli's Cheese Shop made what I thought was going to be a stressful trip, into a smooth sailing day. I came in a few minutes earlier than what I had asked for and to my surprise, the tray was ready to go. My referring office LOVED the diverse variety of the cheeses and meats that were carefully selected by the Antonelli's cheesemongers. They are opening up a downtown location in the Fall... I will be sure to order some for my downtown referring offices!
  • Good quality cheese, very knowledgeable and friendly employees. We love the variety if strong cheeses here 😀
