  • Don't bother- go to DuPage Children's Museum instead!! Exhibits were dirty, poorly maintained, and half weren't even working or had missing parts. Outside of a small area, they had nothing appropriate for younger children, despite the fact that their website advertises being fun for infants on up. Scientific concepts were not presented in a fun, accessible way- mostly just 'push this button'- and virtually no open-ended exploration was available for younger kids. The place is old and outdated, and definitely NOT babyproofed- cords for major exhibits hanging freely, plugs uncovered and out in the open where small kids could grab them. Terrible disappointment and waste of money. Go to DuPage Children's Museum instead.
  • Went here with my son for a school field trip. They have some very interesting items to play with and learn. However, not all the exhibits worked. Perhaps we didn't follow the instructions clearly. Either way the experience is phenomenal. They have this Tornado simulator that's pretty cool.
  • We Love SciTech! Such a fun place to play and learn. Super friendly staff also!
  • Great place for taking the kids on the weekend or birthday parties!
  • The museum itself is decent. The exhibits were pretty cool and hands on which is why I gave this place 2 stars. That's generous! The museum staff was terribly rude. I was there chaperoning my children with their summer camp and was totally disgusted at the way the museum staff behaved. They snapped at, yelled at, and were sarcastic to the small group of 5 year olds I was chaperoning for not knowing answers or not reading the exhibits. THEY ARE 5! They're at the age where science is a fun learning experience and are curious and eager to learn more. The staff pretty much shut that down for a few of them. The lunchroom wasn't maintained well and bathrooms were dirty also. As an intermediate level teacher, I am always looking for local venues to take my students to. I often bring my children to scope a place out before deciding to bring my class there on a field trip. I would definitely skip this place. I can tell staff is not really used to dealing with kids.
