  • This park is very large and has a lot to offer. I have only been here in the winter but there are plenty of places to hike plus they have the largest (and nicest) dog park I have ever been to so far.  more »
  • I went during the winter timeframe and it was stunning. Everything was white and looked like a winter wonderland. The mountains showed in the background of the frozen lake. Absolutely recommended. But...  more »
  • We tried out our new camper here before heading to the Western Slope. It was really a nice site with clean toilets and showers and a beautiful bike path.  more »

  • This park is great as it has a few things to offer...Dog park is huge...great winding bike/walkways through woods, next to Creek, RV park, Lake with a beach, where you can fish and many shaded picnic tables scattered around the lake. You can even find some great views of the mountains in several places throughout. I like just driving through now and then to take a deep breath and slow down.
  • Wonderful way to spend the day walking trails, and hanging out by the beach. The only bad thing is there are no dogs allowed on some of the side trails. It's understandable because they got a huge dog park next door, but still kind of sucks. Very beautiful scenery.
  • We absolutely adore family camping at Cherry Creek State Park; not only is there plenty of privacy between sites, but it’s perfect for both tent & camper enjoyment. We appreciate having the full hookups for water & electricity for our camper along with the most convenient dump site we’ve seen yet. The grass all around is very well kept, the entire camp is clean and the paved pathways are terrific fun for safe bike rides, family walks or pushing a stroller for younger families. The people we’ve encountered at CCSP have all been warm, friendly, very respectful of one another with regard to general noise level, music, etc. unlike so many other sites around. The location of Cherry Creek is great for a short getaway when parents are working during summer weeks but the family wants to feel as if we’ve really gotten away together. Our 5-Star campsite close to home!
  • Great place for hikes. There are no significant elevations and plenty of trails for hikers only and for hikers and bikers. There is an astounding amount of wildlife to be seen. The facilities are excellent and the trails are well kept. There are also some wonderful views.
  • Closest state park with a variety of terrain. Brings natural close to the city. Has a plethora of animal's including deer. Also has good public works such as benches, grills, clean bathrooms, and docks for water activities. Over a beautiful park not far from denver with easy access.
