  • I'm being serious when I say I was in horrible trouble and hysterically crying when I reached land after a storm blew my 9 year old and my paddle board far from where we needed to be to return our paddle boards. But the lifeguard forced me back into the water because the boards didn't belong in the swimming area. My son was crying and she never gave him a glance. I was crying and she just kept saying "ma'am ma'am the paddle board doesn't belong here" I got back into the water with two paddle boards and my son ran for help. Lifeguard says "I can call the ranger over" and I was already swimming away. I was dilirious and said no. I was so upset. They stood there and watched. My friends from shore are yelling help her. They told them that they couldn't help me. They can't help everyone they said. My husband asked if he could take a kayak out to help me and he was told he couldn't. My husband and my 11 year old son swam out and helped me. I was NOT close to shore. So it was a good swim out for them. Be careful. The life guards there scare me.
  • I love fishing at the reservoir. No boat but there is decent access on foot or bicycle. The trail is well maintained and the facilities are clean. Not an exceptionally friendly place to bring your furry friends fishing. Keep them on leash and out of the water or the Rangers will be on you. Annual passes are avaliable or you can pay by the day for access. Trout limits are 2 as opposed to the state limit of 4.
  • Lifeguards make it uncomfortable to swim past the child area. I was reprimanded for swimming too slow in the adult area, because kids might get the idea to swim past the line. Ummm isn't it the life guards job, to let kids know they can't go on that area? My son(19) and I are overweight and are swimming to get fit, we use multiple strokes and run in the deep water, which is a slow for now. I did not appreciate being harassed by the over weight, blond female lifeguard. She made it an uncomfortable experience.
  • Really nice place with very nice and helpful staff. Thank you Terry for staying open a few minutes later for me so I can register my car for a season pass.
  • My family and I are new to the area. We instantly fell in love with the Reservoir area and enjoy coming here to go running, walking or simply hanging out as a family in the picnic/playground area. They also have a marina area for boating which we hope to take advantage of once the weather gets warmer. Doesn't seem to be all that busy, everytime we've been here I've seen maybe one or two other people. Usually walking there dogs and running. I'd imagine it gets busier during the warmer months.
