  • While walking at the park we were nearby the resevoir at many points. There were people swimming and picnicking. There were also boaters and private watercraft enjoying the water.  more »
  • Love to go here to fish and play out in my boat. If you go in a boat, get far away from the beach as it is noisy. Generally easy to get in but stay away on holidays as it fills up quick and is way ove...  more »
  • The Aurora reservoir has a nice little beach and roped off swim area for kids. I had a number of shelters and a playground. There are also paddle boards etc to rent for extra.  more »

  • I love fishing at the reservoir. No boat but there is decent access on foot or bicycle. The trail is well maintained and the facilities are clean. Not an exceptionally friendly place to bring your furry friends fishing. Keep them on leash and out of the water or the Rangers will be on you. Annual passes are avaliable or you can pay by the day for access. Trout limits are 2 as opposed to the state limit of 4.
  • Lifeguards make it uncomfortable to swim past the child area. I was reprimanded for swimming too slow in the adult area, because kids might get the idea to swim past the line. Ummm isn't it the life guards job, to let kids know they can't go on that area? My son(19) and I are overweight and are swimming to get fit, we use multiple strokes and run in the deep water, which is a slow for now. I did not appreciate being harassed by the over weight, blond female lifeguard. She made it an uncomfortable experience.
  • Really nice place with very nice and helpful staff. Thank you Terry for staying open a few minutes later for me so I can register my car for a season pass.
  • My family and I are new to the area. We instantly fell in love with the Reservoir area and enjoy coming here to go running, walking or simply hanging out as a family in the picnic/playground area. They also have a marina area for boating which we hope to take advantage of once the weather gets warmer. Doesn't seem to be all that busy, everytime we've been here I've seen maybe one or two other people. Usually walking there dogs and running. I'd imagine it gets busier during the warmer months.
  • We love canoeing on this lake, usually not too busy and no motorboats allowed.
